Selection Process

1. Preliminary Exam

  • Format: Objective-type test (100 marks)
  • Subjects: English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

2. Main Examination

  • Format: Objective test (200 marks)
  • Sections:
    • General/Financial Awareness
    • General English
    • Quantitative Aptitude
    • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude
  • Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
  • Section-wise Timing: Applicable

3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

  • Mandatory proficiency in Urdu, Ladakhi, or Bhoti (Bodhi) for Ladakh region candidates.
  • Exemption for candidates with valid 10th/12th mark sheets as proof of proficiency.

4. Final Selection

  • Based on Main Exam scores and language proficiency.
