A total of 357 vacancies have been announced for the CAPF AC 2025 recruitment. The distribution of vacancies across different forces is as follows:
- Border Security Force (BSF): 24 vacancies
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 204 vacancies
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 92 vacancies
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 4 vacancies
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 33 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2025
- Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. Subjects of Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible, provided they have the consent of the Central Government.
- Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
- Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August 2025. This means candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 2000 and not later than 1st August 2005. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Civilian Central Government Servant: 5 years
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification.

- General/OBC Candidates: ₹200/-
- Female/SC/ST Candidates: Exempted from fee
The examination fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or by using the State Bank of India’s E-Challan facility.
Selection Procedure UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2025
The selection process for the UPSC CAPF AC 2025 comprises the following stages:
- Written Examination: The written exam will be held on 3rd August 2025 and will consist of two papers:
- Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks (10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon)
- Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension – 200 Marks (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM)
- Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and Medical Standards Tests: Candidates who qualify in the written examination will undergo PET and Medical Standards Tests. The PET includes:
- 100 Meters Race: 16 seconds for males; 18 seconds for females
- 800 Meters Race: 3 minutes 45 seconds for males; 4 minutes 45 seconds for females
- Long Jump: 3.5 meters for males; 3 meters for females (3 chances)
- Shot Put (7.26 kg): 4.5 meters for males; not applicable for females
- Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who clear the PET and Medical Standards Tests will be called for an Interview/Personality Test, carrying 150 marks.
